Dear Sir/ Madam,
This is with great regret; i would like to bring to your notice about a
heinous crime committed by this government servant named "Sunderesan K S -
Deputy Ticket Collector"
As on 21-10-2011 I had my e-ticket booked on intercity express from
Bangalore to Coimbatore on 2S and it was a real horrible experience because
of this one Ticket Collector who not only imposed fine on me but also
behaved in an uncivilized manner in front of the other co passengers’
I understand expecting customer service is too much to ask from Indian
Railways but abusing the passenger in front of co-passenger is a Big NO,
this TC insisted that i show my original document supporting the e-ticket
and when i produced my original DL (a little worn out) he refused to accept
as a part of valid document, so i produced my PAN and Voters ID (Photo Copy)
and he refused to even accept them as my identity proof and forced me to pay
a fine of 361Rs (Please note - this fine for not carrying the original
document which i did possess)
till date i have travelled a lot many times with Indian Railways carrying
the same old copies to support my identity but never had such a harassment,
because of a few employees like "Sunderesan K S - Deputy Ticket Collector"
life of passengers become terrific.
I am not sure if Indian Railways has come up with targets on collecting
fines for Ticket Collectors, if so this is NOT the way to harass the
passengers by misusing the authority given to them.
