Sub: Sub standard work of road contractor in our area

Sir,
It is to bring into your into your kind notice that I am resident of Prem Nagar-1, Haibowal Kalan, Ludhiana. Sir the road of our locality was very fine up to October, 2011 but a fresh order was passed to build new road on a already very good road. The contractor to whom order was given started making road at 6 PM. I raised the voice that he can not make this road after sunset as the temperature of the road cannot be maintained. He turned a deaf ear to my objection. Not only this he used a sub standard material in making the road. The contractor did not used vibrator while making the road. In addition to this he did not used seal cot even.
The people of the locality objected for the substandard work and reported the matter to the concerned officers. And thankfully his bills were stopped. In order to get his bill passed the contractor agreed to repair the road now again. He added one more layer on the same road, this time too he did not used a vibrator, resulting in a poor road again. All the efforts done by him are mare eye wash to get his bill passed. When we park a scooter on the road its stand dugs into the road. The matter was taken with the concerned councilor of the area.
Now again today i.e. on March 21, 2012 the contractor came with material loaded truck and machines in the locality. When asked what he is going to do. He told us that he will add one more layer on the same road but this time with good material. The residents of the locality were not ready to let him to do that. Every body was objecting that already you have added two layers on a good road, so please remove the sub standard layers of the road made by you and then make a good road. He refused to do so. So he made some patches and went away.
Sir during all this process the level of our street has risen to 6”. During monsoons or even a light shower from the heaven, water enters the houses of the locality. Resulting in heavy financial losses.
Now you are hereby requested to issue instructions to the concerned contractor to uproot the sub standard material and make a good quality road. The contractors who don’t work according to the specifications must be black listed. Yourself is most welcome to visit the locality and see he situation with your eyes.
