We have purchased the Seiko-Kinetic watch worth Rs. 36500 from Jain & Jain located at Vasai(West) on Jan 12, 2011.
Within 15 days of purchase of this watch, it stopped functioning. Initially, the date did not change and later on the time also stopped.

We took the watch to the shop and they asked us to keep the watch with them for few days since a representative from Seiko would come and look in to the issue. After 4 days, we came to know that there lies some defect and it would be replaced.

Feb 11, 2011 the watch was given to the authorized center for replacement within 15 days.

There was no response from their side. We kept visiting the shop to enquire but all in vain.

Later, on Mar 10 when we visited the shop they informed us that it would be available the next day.
On Mar 11, the watch that we received was not a replacement but indeed the earlier watch.

It was informed to us that only the interiors have been changed entirely.

Since, we could hardly trust whether the any of the interiors have been manipulated or some inferiors quality parts have been placed or the earlier parts have just been repaired.

Inspite of we being told that the entire piece would be replaced, all we have got is the earlier watch with lot of scratches on the strap and its dial body.

We also spoke to the Mumbai Head of the Seiko watches. However, he is adamant about not replacing the watch.

It was a gift to my father on his 60th birthday. The watch is very expensive and I hope we have the right to get it replaced. Where is the guarantee that the watch would not stop functioning in the next few months or in the next 1 year.

Kindly look in to this matter as soon as possible.
