Dear Sir,
The following is the copy of the grievance lodged before M/s Guruji Electronics (Dealer) and Bajaj Electricals (Service Centre) for your information and necessary action please.
I am working as a scientist in National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. I have been using Bajaj products since 15 years without any problem. Recently I purchased a Bajaj 25 litre Shakti Plus-I Geyser (GC Sr. No./ code No. 0234083, Batch No. 0910, Sr. no. of the product: 02826) from M/s. Guru Ji Electronics, Main Patel Road, New Delhi on 19th December 2010 and was installed by their Representative on the same very day. At the time of installation, it was brought to their notice that the flow of the output terminal was not proper. He emphasized that today water may be less, you can check it tomorrow. But we found that output flow was identical the next day also and it was absolutely zero when the thermostat was cut off. We stopped using the Geyser and lodged complaint telepathically with the Dealer. The Representative of the Bajaj Eelctricals visited on 22/23 December and he found that the thermostat was not properly fitted at its original place. He fitted it properly and said that the flow will be proper now. But we again found that the flow is not improved and he said it is pressure device and the flow will be just like that. Although, I am Pressure Metrologist, but such arguments were difficult to digest. I did not talk to him because of his limited qualification. One of the surprising thing was that the person was not even carrying the proper tooling with him. I myself provided my home tools to check the geyser. Ultimately, he could not rectify the problem. The situation was placed before the Dealer and they provided a mobile no. ********31 of Mr. Jha of Bajaj Electricals. I talked to him and placed my problem in details on 23/12/2010. He promised me that my problem will be resolved by tomorrow. But no body visited our place. I telephoned him again and again and he sent me a SMS informing that he is busy in a meeting and advised to contact Mr. Sanjay (0********08) or Ms. Priyanka Gupta (0********62) on 24-12-2010. I talked to Mr. Sanjay and again placed my problem in details. He also assured me that my problem will be solved by tomorrow. But no one attended the problem. Meanwhile, I insisted dealer to replace my geyser. Mr. Malhotra (from Dealer) promised 2/3 time to replace the geyser but did not replaced it giving several reasons that you first get replacement from the Bajaj and then we will replace your geyser. He also said, he will not take this faulty geyser at its shop let it be first replaced by the company. I insisted that it the matter between you and the company why I should suffer? He did not give any satisfactory answer.
On 28-12-2010, I again requested Mr. Malhotra and even offered to install new geyser on payment basis and forget this geyser. He said, he will talk to his seniors and later agreed to install new geyser. But as usual, he again sent 2 persons, one from his shop and one from the Bajaj, but the problem was not again sorted out.
Later, the situation became so bad that the Bajaj representatives are not lifting my phone. At this moment, the Dealer is also not co-operating and refused to replace the faulty unit. The Dealer (Mr. Malhotra) annoyingly said to get the replacement from Consumer Court. This is not expected from such a reputed dealer as well as Bajaj Customer Care.
This type of uncalled for attitude, unethical practice is against the customer dealer relationship and is the gross violation of consumers rights. This situation has given me lot of pain. My blood pressure is out of control now. They have given me so much pain. I am busy in some important national scientific responsibilities but my attention is diverted to this casual behaviour at the part of dealer and company.
This is my humble request to the top authority of Bajaj Electricals to look into the matter and give my hard earned money back / replace my Geyser immediately.
Hoping for a favourable consideration.
With regards.
