Regarding refund through TDR.
Sir/Madam,
I had booked ticket to travel from New Delhi to Aligarh Junction vide Train No. 12398 (Mahabodhi Express) dated 07.01.2012 vide PNR No.2230477297,Sleeper Class, Berth Nos. S-4/11, S-4/14 & S-4/16. But when my family and I arrived at New Delhi Station to board the train, we were shocked to hear the announcement saying that “the Mahabodhi Express has been rescheduled to depart at 00.10 instead of 14.10 due to fogâ€. Knowing nothing better to do I went to the Today’s Ticket Counter and got another reservation in the Sleeper Class of Train No. 12304 (Poorva Express) of the same date (07.01.2012) and the berth Nos. S-11/41, S-11/42 and S-11/43 were allotted to us. After boarding the train I filed a TDR for the cancellation of railway ticket of Mahabodhi Express. The Railway refunded only ₹210 out of total ₹420. Recently I have come to know that the delay in case of train for more than 4 hours entitle you for 100% refund. In this condition I should be paid back the remaining amount i.e. Rs.210.
Please look into the matter and oblige.
I have been enclosing all necessary documents for your kind perusal.
Thanking you,
Yours truly,
Sunil Kumar Agarwal
