I am a regular traveller to commute to my office daily using the MRTS service (owned and governed by the Southern Railway) and i have shared my grievances as under :
1) Most of the MRTS stations do not have proper lighting and some parts plunge into darkness ,forcing people to stand in groups and avoid standing alone even during the evening hours and this happens almost as a regular phenomena.
2) Also, RPF police force are not seen on all the days and all the stations and they rarely seen in the vicinity , especially after 8.30 PM when they are supposed to give due protection to the civilians till the last arrival and departure of the trains to and from their respective stations. This makes the anti-social elements to enter the premises as the place is not at all secured.
3) Most of the stations stink and not at all maintained cleanly.
4) Escalators are working only during the business hours in most of the stations.

I have sent a detailed mail to Shree PIyush Goyal (Hon'ble Union Minister for Railways) about this. I expect the officials to take necessary action on the above at the earliest.
