The Suraj Kund Badhkal Road was last rebuilt at the time of Commonwealth Games i.e. in 2010. Thereafter the road has regularly developed ditches and holes, only to be occasionally filled up. The current situation is all the more horrible considering the amount of people who commute to Delhi from Faridabad and vice-versa using the same road, who in spite of paying the Road Tax while buying their cars have to bear the cost of broken shockers and disaligned wheels on a regular basis. I myself am not getting my wheel balancing and alignment done again because it would be futile unless the root cause of the problem i.e. the roads are rectified. The patch work that gets done sometimes only ends up creating uneven roads which are again a strain on the shockers of the car. Usage of better material on this road was required as the same is used by Trucks the entire night. However, poor quality of the material used for building and the repair works has resulted in ditches on the road reappearing frequently. With having to replace my shockers (for a car that i bought last year only), I have lost Rs.13,700/- in repairs.
