I recieved a call from your call center approximately a week ago, saying I had won Rs.1 lakh worth vouchers from Suraj Diamonds and to claim it I had to make some purchase of reebok items worth Rs.14,999/- (booking id:********4) and (********6).
Later I was asked to make further payment of Rs.14,999/- to combine the vouchers, this payment also was made (I have confirmed this at 011-40504545). I have received the two boxes of reebok products, which are of no use to me, but the gift vouchers worth Rs.1 lakh, for which I started this whole thing have not arrived. Looking at the number of complaints registered about similar schemes being pulled by you, I am sure there is no possibility of it ever happening. It is inexcusable for an organization like India Today to pull such stupid scams. I demand a full refund (14,999+299+14,999) as soon as possible. If I do not receive any response within a week I will be filing a suit for breach of promise and claiming damages at a 12% interest. My name is Roshan Siddamsetty, Advocate, Bar Council of A.P. (Roll No. A.P./1480/2010). A Police complaint with the above mentioned details are also being filed soon.
