I received a call from Phone No.+********4350 on 20-Feb-2014 from a person named Mr.Fanikanth Verma, and he claimed to be an employee of VacationsGateway. He offered me a holiday package for Rs.7799/- with a free gift of Laptop. He said if I accepted and paid IMMEDIATELY, I will receive a LAPTOP (DELL Inspiron 15R 5521 model) for free and he also given me the specifications of the Laptop and he also assisted me in making the payment online on website http://vacationsgateway.co/Website/index.aspx. After payment I received the confirmation email on the same day. After payment of Rs.7799/-, he asked me the Transaction No. and after confirming the Transaction, he had promised me that VacationsGateway holiday voucher will be delivered to me within 7 days and Laptop within 21 days and he asked me the colour choice of the laptop also. And in case, if I didn’t received the holiday voucher within 7 days they asked me to call to Ph.No.********76. Even after 7 days, I did not receive the Holiday voucher, then I call to above mentioned phone No. A lady by named Ms.Swathi had attended my call and she told that “I will receive my holiday voucher within next 3 to 4 days and Laptop after confirmation of the address”.

I believed in her words and waited patiently for the next 4 days. Then also I did not receive the holiday voucher. Once again I had given a call to the above phone no. again Ms.Swathi had attended my call and she told me that “they are having serve problem over there, so again she promised me that I will get the holiday voucher within next 3 to 4 days and free gift after confirmation of address. She told me to give her a call after receiving the Holiday Voucher”.

Finally on 11-Mar-2014 i.e. after 18 days, I received an email with Consignments No.: Z16623703. And I received my VacationsGateWay holiday voucher on 13-Mar-2014. Immediately after receiving the holiday voucher, as per her instructions given my Ms.Swathi, when I try to call her on the above mentioned phone no. I am getting a tone saying that “the phone is either switched off or not reachable”. Since, then I am unable to contact her and the phone status is still switched off.

But, till date I did not receive my free gift i.e. Laptop.

Regarding the above said matter, I had already email to reachus@vacationsgateway.com.co on 18-Mar-2014 and on 19-Mar-2014 I received an email stating that “This is with reference to your telephonic conversation with one of our executive. We request you to please allow us 2-3 working days so that we can cross verify the same and update you on the same. Request you to please do get the further status on the same within the requested time frame.” I talked to VacationsGateway executive Mr.Nikhil on 24/03/2014 on +91 120 6521232, +91 120 6521233. But he told that Ms. Swathi is on leave, and he told that he will talk with the head of Ms.Swathi and he will give his number, by telling this he cut the phone. He is not giving any proper status update to the email and he is also not guiding me how to book the vacation package also, the way he talked with me is looking like that he is trying to flee from me.

When I checked online about vacationgateway company, there are lots of similar cases regarding vacationgateway holiday package with free gifts. It seems like they are willing and knowing doing this fraud activity by knack, so that they can’t face any problem later stage.

When I email the above matter on 24-Mar-2014, they replied on 25-Mar-2014 saying that “This is with reference to your booking placed with Vacations gateway against Order No. This is in regards to your complain. we would like to inform you that we do not offer Laptop on 01 package. We request you to please share the name and contact number of the member referred by you so that we can share the gift eligibility of yours. Laptop is the part of our referral scheme and we offer the same on the referral conversion of 15 +1 conversion. Also, we would like to inform you that we are forwarding your details to the concern team. For further information you can contact our customer care team or you can mail us.”

I replied via email on 25-Mar-2014 saying that “With reference to your email dt.25-Mar-2014, I would like to clarify you that, Your executives, Mr.Fanikanth Verman and Ms.Swathi has told me that “Free Gift i.e. Laptop is not a part of referral scheme and they are offering me a Free Laptop as my email id i.e., venu.mitra@gmail.com has been selected for Free Laptop with purchase of VacationsGateWay Holiday Package for Rs.7799/-.” I request you to kindly provide me the contact details of Team Head of Ms.Swathi and Mr.Fanikanth Verma.”

They replies via email on 25-Mar-2014 saying that “We thank you for writing us, With reference to our telephonic conversation today , we would like to inform you that as per as the T&C of the package, the order is non cancel able and non refundable. Moreover, we would like to inform you that we have the verification call session to avoid such mis-commitments where the customer has to reveal every detail which was committed by the agent at the time of sales. There, if you don't disclose any thing and agree with each and every T&C of the package, then post your consent only the package gets dispatched. Once the package is dispatched, it cannot be cancelled.”

To the above reply I replied via email on 25-Mar-2014 saying that “First of all I thank you for giving response to my emails. With reference to your email dt.25-Mar-2014 01:37 PM, I would like to clarify you that, I had received two verification Calls from the same phone no.: (1) Verification Call Regarding the Holiday package: In this verification call they had told me about the T & C of the package and they had also reconfirmed my postal address.
(2) Verification Call Regarding the Free Gift i.e. Laptop.
In this verification call they told me the complete details of the Laptop (Configuration of Laptop), which I am going to get it for Free with Holiday package. They had also reconfirmed the Colour of the Laptop along with my postal address. Further if you want any clarifications you can contact me on my phone no.0********35.”

Till now I did not get any reply from them.

I request you to kindly take-up this matter and see that I should get my free Laptop which was promised by the VacationsGateWay executives.

I request you to kindly go through this matter seriously, and see that in future no one else should face the same problem.
