As I was flying back from Oman this evening , I tried to upgrade my tkt from economy to Business class as I have some milages ! I used it on my way from Bah -Oman ! But at the desk , station manager said that his superior ( Mrs. Zahra ) told him that milages seats had been all taken !! When I was at the plane , I saw 3 seats at the back ( which they usually use them for milages clients ) were empty !! 2 or 3 seats had been given to Omani Citizens & 1 seat to Philippino girl !! Gulf Air is the only National Air line that we have ! I think they should consider giving seats to Bahrainis ! For the last 10 yrs I had been traveling with Qatar & Etihad Airlines and I have Gold cards with them !! Just started to use Gulf Air as I have lots of Milges from Amex & Visa Cards ... I was very upset today , as I m using my own Milages for upgrading ..Its not that I got it free !
