As a regular passenger of Indian Railways, I Ashok Kumar Mandiwal make an appeal before you on behalf of million and millions people of India who travels with India Railways and suffers not badly but worstly on regular train late without any notified reason. Recently I traveled through Azimabad express from Ahmedabad to Patna on dated 18/02/2011 in the way the train was detained on several stations. From Mughalsarai to Patna it has taken 10 hours to reach whereas it should be completed by 4 to 5 hours only. Between Arrah to Patna it has taken 5 to 6 hours and between Danapur to Patna itself it covered in 3 to 4 hours whereas it should be in just 40 to 45 minutes from Arrah. The same train was detained at Mughalsarai for more than 2 hours, Phulwarisharif for more than 2 hours without any traffic in both up and down lines because no train was passed through the route via the station. When I enquired with concerned guard and driver they improbably refused to reply. Even the concerned Station Master and Station Manager did not reply to me and turned down to hold any information of late running train. The passenger with emergency cases, students going for colleges, appearing for examination, interviews , calls etc senior citizens hold on proper care are roughly affected in such cases. In a nutshell such circumstances with train causes loss of valuable time, loss of energy, loss of money, loss of stamina and even sometimes causes loss of life of patient under going with medical treatment. There must be a reason and the reason must be known to the concerned authorities and in fact the passenger should also be informed through running announcement on stations. This happens particularly in the division of Danapur specially

This is not a single case rather it has been the established custom and manner of Indian Railways to be late as I have frequently monitored as a regular passenger. But why it goes late? Why the trains are detained on route without any reason? Who hold the responsibility if any untoward incident happens with the passenger? Why the concerned authorities are cut off from their duties and obligations? Why all are enjoying their salaries which are paid from the revenues collected from the passengers itself? It is too much of Indian Railways and should never accelerate these existing trends any more.

I, as a normal passenger appeal to you to either please check it out and ensure healthy and proper working of entire channel engaged in biggest network of Indian Railways or suggest me what and how should I lodge my plea to authorities of Indian Railways or outside the Railways. This is an appeal from a common Indian to the Indian Railways for the necessities of the Public interest.
