Respected Sir,
I had sent a courier containing items worth Rs.20000 to Hamburg, Germany, via Chips International Courier and Cargo on date 4/11/2012 at the cost of 9943. The particular courier never reached its destination and inspite of numerous search request made on my behalf the courier was not found. This can be attributed solely to the callousness and indifference on part of the company in question. It has led to a twofold loss to me, firstly, of the money value of the items lost in the courier and secondly, of the cost of the courier itself. Over and above this, the person who was to receive the courier had to suffer unnecessarily as it did not reach him. On taking up the matter with the management of Chips International Courier and Cargo Company they refused to show any signs of support and firstly denied any compensation for the loss of the parcel but said that the cost of the courier would be reimbursed fully. However, inspite of repeated requests and inquiries the cost was not returned. Now, they are saying that only about half of the cost of the courier would be returned as the rest was used up in tracking and search of the courier.
Therefore, it has become imperative for me to submit this complaint requesting a full compensation of:
(1) The cost of the courier.9443
(2) The cost of the items sent.20000
(3) Cost incurred due to non receipt of the courier.5000
The total amounting to Rs. 34443
I hope this forum will assist me in pursuit of a justified reimbursement from the company.
