I want to state a issue I'm facing with Jaypee Infratech Ltd. I had booked an apartment in Jaypee Greens Aman II project in 25 Nov'11 Application No AMN-27/1503 (12821).
I got a first intimation on 14 Jan'12 on Provisional allotment Letter, Demand Letter to pay the Rs 577190/-, which I checked with the JP representative (Gurpreet) that my cheque leafs were finished and will pay ASAP, during such calls no information shared stating there is a due date and after that will be late interest charged of 18%. Second intimation came on 19th Mar'12, stating I have to pay Rs 1124342.25 including a late interest of Rs 8599.25. Same day I sent a mail to jaypeegreens.commercial@jalindia.co.in and aman@jalindia.co.in asking a call back for the better understanding of invoice but no one called, I discussed this with the representative but even that time she didn't talked about the late interest. Then I forwarded a mail to gurpreet kohli on 4th Apr'12 with all the letters received and asked for explanation and then she reverted on call that I have to pay Rs 16793.86 as late interest. I requested to send the executive to collect and request for reversal of Rs 16793.86 since no one discussed and I was late due to lack of information and wasn't intentional. JayPee representative called me to collect cheque on 9th Apr'12 which I request on 6th Apr. But I paid the entire amount Rs 1132578.86 on 9th Apr'12 by visiting their office in Noida.
Further I followed up on mail on 5th, 6th, 7th, no reponse on 18th Apr'12 they reverted back saying "extremely sorry to inform you that your request for the waiver of interest has been turned down by the concern department because of your payments was not received on time .Kindly pay the interest amount." which I paid already and didn't get any waiver. I requested on same day over mail to know the procedure to drop back and get my money back but no response came as of yet. Again I got another demand not for next installment Rs 493439 on 10 May'12 with another interest to pay Rs 834/-. Not sure why they are charging so much of late interest and no one to explain and waive. They have no customer service or care department to understand or explain customer issues rather if the reminder calls or follow-up post sale of property will help customers track the payments.
I'm frustrated with the service. This time again no one to pick the cheque and every time visiting their office to deposited the cheque is very difficult.
My request is to get the reversal of late interest charged Rs 17627.86, which is a huge amount and unintentional from customer end. Couple of times there executive didn't discussed and informed the customer and no follow-up neither collection of cheque on time, etc. if this is not possible then probably I would like to get my complete money back with current rate of interest they charged me as late fee and will drop and release plan to buy the apartment. I need help.
