Hearing recommendation from one of our family friends, I invested 3 lakhs of Indian rupees to Anandrathi Securities in Kolkata on January, 2013. The salesman in charge of the deal since then left the company for another bank and by January, 2014, almost all my capital (Rs 2,78000/ to be precise) was lost. When I met the M.D of the kolkata branch he had no clue where the money went and asked me if I had withdrawn money from the account at all. Then he figured out that the ex-employee must have put my money into some high risk share portfolio to get more brokerage for himself instead of mutual fund with the promise of at least 12% return promised to me.The M.D also told me to take this experience as a lesson as according to him every lesson comes at a cost, so I might as well think that I have paid the money to gain the experience not to trust anyone on the face value.
I along with my Australian colleague sat in his office too stunned to answer at that point of time. I closed the account and asked him to transfer the remaining 14k to my bank account and till today I do not know whether that has been done or not as I keep on receiving at least 25 to 50 emails from the company on a daily basis even today. After returning back from the experience I had sent 3 emails for a detailed description of all the transactions done through my account, but till today didn't receive anything. I do have an idea that they themselves do not have a clue where the money went as well, otherwise they wouldn't have asked me whether I had withdrawn money at all from the account.
My observation on this experience is that too many people must have gone through the same experience as I had, but did not come out to speak about it due to humiliation, accompanying hassles as well as publicity and that is the reason fraudulent companies like this can flourish and keep sucking capital out of peoples' hard earned money. I want my invested sum back with an apology. Please help me in achieving this goal.
