Every time a common man goes to Indian Railway Reservation Counters, TOUTS (Local Goondas) are seen roaming and during peak season period their number increases. There is no Railway Protection Force personnel available to discipline and control them. They break in the lines, allow their colleagues to enter in between the line and if objected by public, the general public is helpless and have to face the Touts literary physical ire and threatenings. is object to by public.
One or more proxies of Touts come early in the morning and stand in Queue, thereafter as the reservation counter start timing nears, the other Tout colleagues enter in the Queue, if objected they do not listen and they also carry along with them end number of reservations slips. There are even tie-ups between these Touts and the reservation clerks. Such Nefarious activities have to be removed from the Indian Railway Reservation Center premises.
For your information, I am attaching the article appeared on 30th April, 2011 in Pune Mirror - THAT'S CALLED TOUTAL RECALL is not the issue of one Pune Railway Reservation Centre but I would say it is spread all over Pune Reservation Counters and in other cities.
In big cities - like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad - there is Coupon System, where each person is allotted a Coupon number, and as when the Coupon number is called by the Reservation Window Clerk, an individual will go and get his or her reservation done. It is our appeal to Railway Ministry that they should extend this Coupon number system to all the Reservation Centers throughout India.
