I am a regular flyer but have never come across such a bad situation. Like always I have booked a ticket from Spicejet but by mistake I provided my name instead of my fiancee's name. I entered Miss Rohan Verma instead of Miss Soniya Sinha. The PNR number is NLMHDH.

After repeated emails and calls to call center we got the reply that it's impossible, we cannot change the name. The ticket has to be cancelled and new ticket is to be bought on current price (which is more than what I have paid). In this process they will also deduct their cancellation fee.

I couldn't make out why a change of name is impossible.They can impose a minimal fine for this but why do I need to cancel the tickets.
