I am owning a Santro Xing car under registration number-WB06B4998,Engine number-G4H49M809138 and chasis number-449191.The car was purchased from Bengal Hyundai,25B,Park Street,Kolkata-700016 on 21/08/2009 and all along the servicing has been done from the authorised service station-Bengal Hyundai, 2/2B, Tiljala Road, Kolkata-700046. The car was serviced very recently on 09/08/2015 from the aforesaid service center for routine check up and an amount of Rs.25385 was paid vide invoice B201506550 and the mileage was 42447km at the time of discharge. On 16/08/2015 at about 1pm while the car was running, stopped suddenly. The car was managed to run after pushing from back. Again after running 150m, the car stopped. The authorised agent of the service center, Avik Shankar Biswas was contacted over his mobile phone (********64) and the problem was conveyed to him. He asked to bring the car to the service center without enquiring whether the car was heated or not and did not suggest to bring the car in a break-down van. At about 3pm, the car was driven to the service center with much difficulties (stopped several times on the way to service center). After thoroughly examining the car (42594km), Mr. Avik Shankar Biswas opined that the cooling system of the car was damaged extensively and claimed an amount of Rs.9000 for repair and he said that the main reason for the trouble was due to wear and tear of the car (6years old). Hence, I failed to understand that the car which was serviced recently not even a week back developed such major problems leading to high billing. It gives me enough doubt whether proper care was taken during the last service and maintenance. Moreover, the car which was supposed to be delivered on 17/08/2015 was not delivered as the repair was not completed and Mr. Avik Shankar Biswas claimed another Rs.6000 i.e. total Rs.15000 for repair of the car and the delivery date is uncertain.
