Urgent : INAPPROPRIATE CONDUCT/MISDAMENOUR BY Shri. DURBADAL HALDER, SUB-INSPECTOR POSTED AT GARIAHAT PS, KOLKATA

This communication is to bring to your kind notice, the inappropriate conduct exhibited by Shri. Durbadal Halder, (s/o Shri. Saroj Kumar Halder), a sub-inspector posted at Gariahat Police Station, under your jurisdiction. As per official records Shri. Durbadal Halder had joined the services in the year 2010.

For quite some time now, it has come to the notice of the residents of our locality, that Shri Halder, who is in his late twenties, is indulging in activities, which are quite indecent in nature. Halder along with a few local youths has recently picked up the practise of making lewd comments towards pedestrians, near Golpark. Often these are targeted towards young college-going women of the nearby Heramba Chandra College(South City) & Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture.

Many senior residents of the locality have warned the youths including Halder, about the consequences of their actions. But these were not heeded to. It may so happen that these youths have already involved themselves in illicit drinking habits. These can lead to ruckus in our peaceful locality. Inadvertently Shri Halder, due to his ignorance, is tarnishing the image of Kolkata Police.

In our locality several renowned Durga Pujas (Ekdalia Evergreen, Falguni Sangha etc) are organized, drawing visitors in lacs. So, kindly instruct senior officials at Gariahat PS to keep a close watch on the activities of Shri. Halder, outside the police station so that incidents like these are not repeated in future, particularly during the upcoming Durga Puja.
