Dear sirs,
i am an idea customer. My a/c no. Is 547694. Mobile no. Is ********82.
In bill no. F./0001331952-11 for bill period 01 jan 11 to 31 jan 11,i have been charged rs. 644(+10.3% tax) under the head premium service charges..
I protest and want to contest these charges levied by idea cellular limited.After following the due course of your company's consumer redressal system,and still not getting any satisfactory answer ,i am sending you this legal notice.
I want answers and explanations of my following questions:-
1.What for the company has billed me under the above said head for rs.644?
2.Did i ask for these premium services?
3.Does the idea cellular ltd. has any written consent of mine asking for any such service?
4.As per my telecon with the company's customer care exec. And then nodal officer,(call recordings with me), pls i be told that which websites did i visit to buy some services.?
5. I demand the website addresses and physical addresses with phone no. Of those websites from where, according to you people, i have made some downloads etc
6. Who authorised the idea co. to pay to those websites on my behalf?
7.Is idea a cellular co. or a credit card co. whereby it is paying on customer's behalf?
8.Is the internet service provider like your co. authorised by trai and govt of india regulations to pay to web based vendors for any purchase of products or services?
9. How many lacs other customers have been billed in similar way pan india for these types of unsolicited services?
I maintain that i have never ever used or activated any such service from any website.
I sense that there is a huge scam being played on customers by these websites and idea is definitely a part and parcel of all this.because its idea only to whom a customer is paying.
idea is getting a big share out of this unholy nexus.
if at all a customer is to buy some product or service or game etc. S/he is to do so by paying directly to that vendor via credit card or by cheque or dd. Etc.idea is just an internet gateway provider,never authorised to pay to websites on customer's behalf.
can you pls tell me how and when did i authorise idea to pay on my behalf to any web based vendor of such services.?
i am starting a huge campaign against all this loot being done by some telecom operators like yours and seeking help from any and all who may be of any help or concern like judiciary,dot,trai, internet techies,web freaks, other telecom operators,websites fighting malpractices by big companies,consumer protection groups,print and electronic media and general public etc.
I am pretty sure that truth will prevail and such a loot being done by some mobile companies will come to an end.
just a cursory look on internet complaints only will prove that idea is activating unsolicited services for lacs of customers and so looting them.
Rest assured that these days will soon be over..
i personally demand a compensation of rupees one lac for billing me wrongly, causing me physical and mental harassment and causing me financial losses.

I seek not only a complete reversal of these undue charges but also I demand a claim of rs. 100000(one lacs only) from idea cellular limited for wrongly billing me,causing me physical and mental agony,causing harassment to me,and wasting my time in visiting idea showrooms, unnecessarily calling you people etc.
Failing which i shall be compelled to move my complaint to appropriate court of law.
