Dear Himadri,
As discussed with you on 11 th August at your IFFL 7th floor office, please find the below details how I had been misguided for last 4-5 months.
Nilanjana Das had called me around 14th March and told me about "One time investment" in HDFC Life. The offers she stated are as follows:
It`s one time investment.
She is calling from HDFC Bank office and hence no brokerage / commission has to be given to agents and hence I will get around 12000 in 30-45 days.
After 1 year, I can withdraw the amount. There would be no problem with that withdrawal.
I will get 12% interest after 1 year.
After hearing that, I decided to invest 1Lkah in HDFCLife. I have given a cheque of amount 1Lakh from my wife`s account and the cheque date was 28th March and cheque number was 427182 drawn on "AXIS Bank". One of the HDFC Bank associate came to pick up the cheque on 29th March. I invested this amount in my wife`s name : Moumita Banerjee.
After that Nilanjana called me around first week of April and informed me that there would be some Audit calls from India Infoline and I had to tell the following:
If Auditor asks me that whether I will continue paying for 7 years and will not withdraw this amount after 10 years, I have to tell yes to all these questions.
If Auditor asks that whether I had been offered for any joining bonus, any benefit of any amount, I have to tell no that there was no such offered made.
Nilanjana had called me several times in April to instruct me to tell the pull of lies for all these Audit sessions. I then received the actual HDFC life policy. The policy number is 15991607. The policy clearly states that I have to pay for 7 years this premium amount. Nilanjana called me again in May and assured that I will receive another document which will cancel the previous policy and will get one new policy document.
I had received calls from Nilajana through out May, June that I will receive the joining bonus amount shortly. Around 15th July, I called HDFC life customer service and inquired about the policy number and I was told that India Infoline has made me full and now I do not have any option other than paying the amount for 7 years.
I have been thoroughly cheated and fooled around this policy. On July 26th again Nilanjana called me and when I asked her about this whole thing then she gave me your number.
I will look forward to your active help on this. Please stop such blunders going forward.
