Dear Sir/Ma'am,
I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note N-7000 in January 2013. After using the handset for about 2 months, the handset started switching off own its own. Initially for few days i was not able to recognize this problem and for few days i was in the impression that by mistake i might have switched off the handset. Later after every 2-3 hours whenever i checked my handset i found it to be switched off.
I visited the Samsung service station in Patel Nagar wherein i was told that there is a liquid damage in the handset and i will have to pay Rs 3000 for that. Further, i was told that they are not promising that the handset will be repaired after paying Rs 3000 and the cost might go up to Rs 9000 for a 100% repair.
When i asked them could you please tell me if this happened only because of liquid damage and not because of some other fault in the handset, i was not provided with the satisfactory answer to that. Upon asking them about the area where the said damage was located, i was told though the area does not seem to come directly in liquid contact. Further, i was told that handset could develop this kind of problem even when one is talking on the phone due to moisture contact. Upon discussing with them i was suggested to visit the Nehru Place service station to fix the problem.
Due to my professional obligation i am not able visit the service station. Request you to kindly suggest the way forward and repair or either replace the handset.
Kind Regards
Raman Kumar
