I have booked a ticket for two person on 10-3-2011.

At the time of booking, passenger1 showing booking status confirmed, and passenger 2 showing booking status as W/L 1. After a month when I have again checked the status of passenger2 it is showing me status W/L 7. How it is happened? As per the rules of berth distribution it should be W/L 1 since ticket is booked for both the passenger at the same time.

I think the online system is erroneous, and consequences are , we the passenger are in trouble since if the status of passenger2 would have been W/L 1, then by this time the current status would have become confirmed instead of W/L 4.

Could you please look into the matter and ask IRCTC about the clarification of above mentioned issue?
