Dear Team,

We had done advance booking in hotel rohtang manalsu dated 9.1.2012.

due to bad wheather we were not able to reach the hotel on the said date.

When we reached on 10.01.2012 at 3.00 AM we were advised to visit hotel beas which

is also handled by rohtang manalsu hotel. local police had informed us that you can not

go to either of the hotels since no normal 4 wheelar can reach there due to heavy

snowfall. we have asked Hotel rohtang manalsu to give us the advance paid back since

their hotel rooms are not at all used and we had to buy other expensive hotel.

points to be noted

1.) the reservation slip does not have any contact no of rohtang manalsu
2.) we are not offered any type of compensation.


Mails sent to Rohtang Hotel and reply received from Asst. Manager is as below where they are blaming others rather than helping the customer.

Dear sir,

Kindly refer to your e.mail dated 17.01.2012 and our reply to that dated 17.01.2012 and your subsequent e.mail on dated 18.01.2012 . In this context, we have already intimated you that during your visit roads to Manali were not closed and vehicles were plying quite frequently To and Fro Manali, though there had been snow on the roads but that was being removed by the machinery/ labour deployed for the purpose to ensure the frequent movement of vehicles on the road. Besides that our marketing office and hotel personnel in Manali were quite vigilant and ready to assist or shift the guests as per the need of situation. You have mentioned that the Police personnel told you that four wheel vehicles were not going to Hotel Rohtang Manalsu/ Hotel Bes. You should have contacted for marketing office personally or telephonically and we could have shifted to any Hotel like Kunzam/ Beas or even at Kullu or anywhere else in any hotel of HPTDC in the state. During the snow period the dates mentioned by you many people have checked into our hotels i.e. Beas and Kunzam and we have tried our level best to provide timely help and best quality service to all the Tourists who visited our hotels. Our Hotel Beas/ Kunzam and Marketing Office are centrally located properties and are hardly 50-100 meters away from the HRTC Bus Stand hence easily accessible. Had you tried to contact any of these, you could have got the assistance just immediately. Hence it seems that due to the mis-communication to you by the said police personnel, as claimed by you, you could not reach the right person and right place, which is unfortunate and regrettable and the same has resulted in un-warranted inconvenience to you.

Dear Mr. Manager,

The information on the receipt does not have any contact no of your rohtang manalsu which is unsual.

We were informed by Rohtang manalsu to go to beas hotel when we got where local police had advise that 4 wheeler car does not go to these hotels( beas/ rohtang manalsu).

All this information was given to your marketing office guy which is now used to inform us on mail ???

The ultimate fact is that the any of the hotel room was not at all used where as the payment was made in advance.

It is really unfair practice and pathetic experience we had while booking it from HP government site.

Being in a customer relations, I have never experienced such services.

If the issue is not resolved, I will put the details on internet and on consumer complaints websites.

this is bad thing i decide planing to visit on this place of rohtang ... but i am said to be hear this problem not sure i visit on another place .....
