Sir,
I ( Suman Kumar Singh, Senior Branch Manager; PNB;BO:-Halisahar; 24 PGS(N)) alongwith my old aged father went for reservation on 23.01.2011 at the counter where Sri Thakur was working.I needed tickets for going to Bagaha( BUG) from Asansol and Vice versa ( The returning jouney required BPT due to onward journey through connecting train and so two requisition slips were submitted.) The tickets were issued through PNR Nos.-********60; 2315847468 and ********55. The third requisition slip which I gave was related to my brother who had to go from Bhagalpur to Bagaha( BUG) and whose returning was alongwith the already issued ticket-PNR -********55( Mr. P.K.Singh). Despite my said justification i.e. the third requisition related to my own family member, Mr. Thakur refused to issue the ticket telling that now not anymore ticket can be issued by same requisition giver.
Fortunately, at that time my father ( a senior citizen) was in the que just after me and no any other person was behind him which can be inquired of from the timegap of the issuance of another ticket(s) by that counter. As my father is an old person, he produced the requisition slip signed by him which was only duly filled up by me. Upon production of the requisition slip, Mr. Thakur behaved in a very bad manner and started befooling me that if the requisition slip is filled up in your ( my) handwriting irrespective of the fact it is signed and produced by your father, It can not be issued by my counter. Sir,I time and again requested to issue the ticket on the basis that the clerical work like filling up of form may be done by anyone and which is not possible by my father to be filled in because of his tremour in hand, but in vain. It put us in an embarassing position before the other persons standing at the other counters.
Sir,in my opinion, if the same practice persists in future, it will be tarnishing the image of railway and a law abiding citizen like me as well as a senior citizen( 68 Year Old) like my father would be harassed on whimsical ground.
Sir, this late reporting of occurence may please be ignored because of my busy schedule of different assignments as head of the organisation which is located at a wide distance from Asansol.
Requesting you for needful to be done.
Yours faithfully,
Suman Kumar Singh
