Sir/Madam,
I am Nageswara Sadasivam, an employee of BSNL. I was travelling with my family(Parents) in Chennai Express (16854) from Trichy to Chennai on 2nd December 2012 by Sleeper class. At around 1345Hrs, in between the stations of Kadalur and Panrutti, some unwanted incident took place, which i would like to bring to your notice. At Kadalur Station, four railway staffs entered into our coach S10, saying they have a pass with them. One of them, who is identified by a local vendor in the train as TTR, asked my Parents whether you are going to sit or sleep.My father, who too is Group 'B' officer of BSNL got annoyed by the way he asked and asked him why he is asking as we dont know who he is. He replied in a more rude way that he is a staff and we have to answer it, for which my father said to ask in a respectfull way(because one cannot tolerate when his wife is asked "padukuriya illa okkaringla").I intervened at this juncture and asked them to atleast respect his age or otherwise i will complaint with the TTR.He replied again in disrespectfull way "Poi pannu po, paakalam"(Go and complaint, let us see). I was annoyed and shouted at him to behave properly. At this instant, three of his men who accompanied him (they too are railway staffs and had their paa as well), ASSAULTED me Physically.My father and a fellow passenger pulled him away and then he ran away to the door.A travelling police constable intrervened here and stopped me from calling 100(Polie) and said it would further complicate the matter and never allowed to deo so till they got out of compartment at PANRUTTI junction.After he beat me, that so called TTR said to them to go to the next compartment and not to stay there.When asked about this, he said you shouted and thats why he beat you ("Nee kathinaa emmela ulla mariyadhaiyala avan adikathan seivan.").
I asked the name of those persons and himself for which he refused to say. When I asked that police man, who from the beginning was involved in convincing me but not asked a question to them, about taking a complaint from me, that man said to me "Complaint panna, Vizhupuram thaandiruviya nee?"(meaning "IF YOU COMPLAIN, DO YOU THINK YOU CAN GO BEYOND VIZHUPURAM?"), emphasizing his Union strength and further said He hold an important position in a union and he will show his strentgth if i were to argue further.
The argument continued and at the panrutti station, they were all sent out by that police.

The incident took place between 1330 hrs to 1400Hrs.
The TTR came half an hour later and appologized with us.
The identification of those men are_

1.One was wearing a woollen cap around 45 to 50 years of age.(The one who beat me).
2.That main person was black skinned and was tucking his shirt in.
3.One was a teenager around 25 to 30 years of age.
4.One was wearing white shirt and pant and ashes in his forehead.
I want some answers from the concerend officials of Southern railway.

1.Whether a staff holding a pass can travel in a reserved coach occupying a berth reserved by passengers?

I want to lodge a following complaints.
!.Behaving in a disrespectfull way with passengers.
2.Assualting a passenger physically that too a Central govt. employee.
3.Thretening us in the name of union.
4.Refusing to tell the names and ran like an accused to evade consequences.
5.Illegely occupying a berth reserved by a passenger.

I am mentally disturbed sir.very much.because getiing slapped in face in front of my parents and hundreds of fellow passengers is not an easily pardonable one. I have some reputation in my locality,office.It hurts me a lot sir. I am 26 years old. I cannot tolerate this and also any body will easily get angered when their parents are ill traeted.

Though they ran away, i can identify them if i see them. I want proper action to be taken against that so called officials as soon as possible.
