I got a friend request from Facebook under the name Nick Benson from Manchester UK. After talking to him through voicecall whiich he kept calling he insisted on sending me certain gifts from there such as an Apple Iphone, Laptop, Gold Ring, Bunch of roses, england suit, and a cash of 500 British Pounds. Even though i refused he kept pestering me to accept and informed me that a Customs officer would be calling me once the gift arrived. The so called " customs officer" called me today and told me that I will have to deposit an amount of Rs. 14800 inorder to get the gifts to the bank account ICICI a/c 00********87 under the name Vikram Sharma and SBI A/c No. 331******** under Rahul Singh. I want to know what steps i should take inorder to prevent such frauds as they have been doing this to a lot of people in my community who are innocent victims and have wasted money on such frauds. Please advice.
