My name is Girish Sadani. I stay in Kumar Purva hadapsar.

The reason I m writing this mail is because I tried to make a complaint in the nearest police station with the consent of my friend who's a lawyer in Mumbai for my issue but didn't get any help.

I am sorry i have to explain the complete situation in detail for which the mail will be long.


Anyways ill tell u my complete situation. I m an Interior designer and my wife is an Architect. We live in Hadapsar and we take small projects of our own field to survive our daily needs. I and my wife got a project of my house owner in their very own flat. Now the situation was that my carpenter was not in pune so I asked his Nephew "(bhanja) VINOD JANGID to come and take the project and start the furniture work after the false ceiling and the electrical is done. I explained him the quotation and he agreed for the same.I gave him 2000rs as a token amount So he agreed and took the charge.

He started the work and took Advance of 50000 from my owner ( Agawane) which was on the 22nd June and never responded back again for 15days. then he came with poor quality material and started the work which we asked him to change and then all of a sudden his relative "BHAWARLAL JANGIRD " came and said that he would be in charge of the project and would be changing the materials on the same.site and would ensure that everything is taken care on his behalf. I asked him to sign the agreement. A normal written agreement with all the terms and condition with the start date,end date, quotation amount, type of work like carpentry, false ceiling, painting, electrical and professional fees as well..Since the other work was already done this agreement was specially for him because he was new to me and had taken almost 16 days to start the work till then..Then in presence of Vinod Jangid he Signed the agreement and gave me a copy of his pan card with his signature.I have the original agreement and the copy of his pancard.

He placed the material the next day started the work. The kind of quality which we got from him was very poor like his workers have never worked before and this is their first work. Also while they were working Vinods Hand was injured because the cutting machine slipped from his hand and came on his other hand. During this incident i was not on the site but my owner (client) / son of my owner / her husband/ AC fitting guys / were there on the site . He was rushed to Noble hospital for after which i gave Bhawarlal 5000 rs for his treatment which he told he would return and the owner gave 1000 rs.

For 5 days he did not turn up on the site ... We asked him come and to complete the work many a times which he did to certain extent and then he told me that the doors of the furniture are small so he would take those small doors and would come with the material for the new door the next day. since then he has not reported to the site. Its almost one and a half week. We have invested 50000 + 2000 + 5000 + 1000= 58000/- and the calculation of work which we have received is only worth 25 thousand. there is no material on the site. they have taken the tools and equipments to the other site and have not reported since then. I had called them thousands of time they are not responding to my calls. I recently sent a message through whatsapp explaining him his mistake he started talking to me rudely and said that he has made the furniture and the cost of the furniture is made is 92265 . I asked him the break down of it he said that its as per lbh (length x breadth x height) which is not when it comes to furniture or false ceiling since i m working for the last 8 years. In furniture, and false ceiling work LXH is considered with a constant rate like if the depth of the furniture is less than 15inches then its 500 if the depth of it is more than 15 inches but less than 20 inches then its 700 and if the depth is more than 20 inches then its 900.

So as per normal calculation its the length x height x 500 or 900 depending on the depth that is the cost of the furniture with internal laminate, external laminate 18mm gurjan plywood and SS hardware and accessories. anything more than this the customer is charged extra.

Still i Confirmed it from the other carpenters and they told me exactly what i m following till now. I told Bhawarlal that he is wrong and he has already agreed to the quotation. He said that he would not work. I gave him a solution to end the conversation that he can put the material at the site and ill get it done from other person. He says the other carpenter would have to pay him the amount balance from the 92265 and then only he can continue. I told him that the amount is invalid and he has agreed to the quotation of 50000 and then he started the work . Because once the amount is fixed then only a customer buys a service but if the amount is changed later the customer would not agree and dispute about it. So we as an architect have to finish the design and then give the exact quotation as per the design and the sizes in the design.

Bhawarlal is not ready to give any amount of money neither he is ready to resume the work nor he is ready to allow the other carpenter to work on the site. and now he is not even answering the phone . When i reported this to the Police station they said that u should ask him to come on the site and then call 100 when he is there. But Bhawarlal doesnt answers the call. I told the same to the police but didnt get proper response.

I need your help to get the money back from him as its a huge amount ( approx. Rs . 34000/- ) which i cannot afford to put and also an NOC for the other carpenter to work on the site. Also the work is half done and my owner is really not happy.

I had called Vinod several times and he says he would be on the site within an hour with his other workers but never reports to the site.. I asked him when would you start the remaining work he says " Bas sir, Parso se start ho jata aapka kaam, Udhar ke udhar aapka material dal jata aur udhar hi aapka kaam chalu ho jata." But till now the work has not started. I called him several times but now his mobile is turned off.

I don't know where he stays but i know that his other sites and where he takes the material from every morning.

He takes his material from Laxmi Plywood Kharadi, Near kharadi bypass. His work is going on in wadgaon sheri in a real estate office in a complex which belongs to Vijay Chhajed near Siddheshwar temple and the Green thing hotel. which is exactly ahead of Brahma Sun City.
