Dear Sir,

THE WIDOW OF RFN. 52940, LATE HEMOKANTA KACHCHARY.OF 5TH ASSAM RIFLES C/O 99 A.P.O. has specifically mentioned that her husband has deserted his service after serving for 10yrs.

The department must have carried out the necessary inquiry and taken legal course of action for disciplinary proceedings as per the service terms and condition, the so called complainant must be in full view of the same. She should be asked to put up the action taken by the department on his desertion.

The individual must have not completed the necessary service to gain pension and there is no rule as such which gives compensation to dependents who desert the service. The govt. is not liable to compensate dependents for the indiscipline of the working member of the family.

More so the service documents must show that the lady in question is his legally wedded wife and necessary orders on the subject has been published.
