Yesterday i.e. 28.09.2016 I was in my office and got a call at 1115 hrs. from unknown number (********04) informing that my account in Punjab National Bank has been closed and ATM is blocked. On asking he told that I am calling from Mumbai office. Trying to ignore him, I disconnected the call.
But at 1119 hrs. he again called and asked my Aadhar Card No. to get the account activated again otherwise all my money will automatically be transferred to Govt.'s account. I warned him not to call again otherwise I will lodge a complaint against him.
In the meantime my wife called me from home and told that a man is calling again and again and asking the details of bank account. He told that I have spoken to your husband and he has told to get the details from you. She however, didn't give any information.
I immediately informed Delhi Police Control Room (100) at 1125 hrs. I got a SMS from Delhi Police at 1126 hrs. informing "Delhi Police will be reaching you shortly". But after that there no action from Delhi Police.
As per Delhi Police Slogan / Advice "Be Our Eyes & Ears" I informed the incident. No doubt the caller could not harm me by making any fraud in my bank account, but he can harm somebody else. He will not sit calmly; he will try some other person to meet his desires.
If feel necessary, may like to take necessary action in tracing the caller and making an inquiry from him in this regard.
