EDUKART - Edukart-Very Poor Service

Respected Consumer Affairs Officer,

I am R Rakesh Kumar from Bangalore. I have completed my BE Under graduation in June 2014. I was very much interested in taking up my M.Sc Post graduation in Psychology from a good university accepted by Govt. of India with a preference of Correspondence/ Distance mode. I went through all the syllabus and subjects of almost all the universities in India and finally settled up with Tamil Nadu Open University. Went ahead for online registration on TNOU website. The online registration for the course from TNOU redirected me to Edukart. I thought that Edukart was an agent of TNOU to take up applications online. I was in touch with Edukart Representatives since early June and followed up with their proceedings. I finally Settled up and registered and paid fee amount of Rs.4500/- on 16/07/2014 with Order number- 5058897, CCAvenue Reference -103000424370 through NetBanking Ref No- IGW9029976. I filled up their online form on 19/07/2014. With Registration ID- TNOU00069 and submitted all my scanned copy of supporting documents to them and confirmed that they have received the same.
That was the last day I got a proper response from them regarding my Enrollment. Since then I have been following up with them but all my anticipation and expectation went to vain. I send mails/ call them at least weekly once to learn any updates regarding official confirmation from university/ Enrollment ID/ Study Material/ Assignment/ Practical Exam etc. I have not even got a single prompt reply from them.

Every time I get the same Reply since 03/09/2014
“We are following up with the University. We are expecting the books to be us by the mid of coming week. We will immediately dispatch once we get the same from the University.”
Note: I used to get same reply even before when I called to their office.
But that mid week has never come up in their calendar.
Finally after 5 months of Endless calls and N number of mails. I just received my Enrollment ID on 26/11/2014. Again since then I am following up till I can but I get the same reply. I always spoke to them politely and with respect as a student enrolled with them. The same way how I spoke to my faculties in my under graduation. But even I am a well educated human. So I thought maybe some transist problem or maybe this is how it happens. I have given up all my expectations and hopes after their ignorant replies and send me soon. Mid od December I called them and the representative now was not ready even to notify me when the books are expected to be reached. She blindly gave a reply we don’t know when we will receive the books so told me to wait till they send. After my request upon atleast the maximum expected date she said me that I will receive the books before 1st Jan 2015 at any case without fail. Again I waited and today when I called up they say it Will take another 20-25 days to receive books from university.
Now should I trust and wait another 1 month and again face same consequences? I sent a formal mail requesting the cancellation of my enrollment.

I am R Rakesh Kumar enrolled with you for M.Sc Psychology from TNOU. This is regarding my Study Material for the above said course. I need to make my point clear that i am totally disappointed, I don't have even a 0.01% of hopes of satisfaction. Being at a educational sector is a service that you should be providing but u have just taken my money and vanished sitting behind calls and mails. I am a very patient person as u know and waited as long as seven(7) whole months simply after registering at your course and just calling to know the same answer "We haven't received the material yet, we ll send it by this weekend, next week etc". Come on i am also a human! I expect something positive always when i call you and you people just say the same. That doesn't mean i am convinced with your replies you people are just stretching my cool/patience. I think the exams are going to start by May-June 2015 which i am supposed to study/ prepare for 1 year and latest that you are telling me i will get by next month(Should i trust?). Okay if i get it next month(March and April), you want me to study 1 year course in 2 months. Are u kidding me. Is the university a fool to prescribe 1 year for those subjects? Now I am helpless and fed up with you people. I am wondering if i am not able to just get my study material for Eight(8)+ long months which is very basic and easiest of all other happenings for a successful degree(If u can get to what i am relating to :Assessment dates, Practical exam dates, ADMIT card, Exam forms,and much much more). I have lost all faith in you. I was waiting for all these days quietly listening to your same old chanting.

When you can’t provide me my requirement then, Are you my relative to just deposit my money and forget. Money doesn't come as easily to all as you people get. Just but my inbox is dumped with your mail for past seven months.
Lets make things clear as a customer(Forget being enrolled as a student). I am unsatisfied and totally disappointed with your your service which i have only paid and yet to receive anything (Except a Rs.10 Laminated id). Come on Edukart. My money would have earned my higher interest than what i paid my money lender to pay you my fee or for STD calls(Really don't have counts, called you people so many times) that i made to you or even the cyber cafe bills.
Frankly speaking I want to quit. Tell me what should i do formally or you want me to take up legally. I am sure i don't have any other option in my mind.

Till then I used to get replies from them (The same chanting that I would receive it soon) at the max within half an hour. But today I haven’t received any replies even after 5-6 hours. That shows they have completely ignored me doing their regular work of canvassing students.

I know M.Sc is no ordinary degree and requires a lot of efforts to gain knowledge and understand. My one year study period has shrunk to two months now(Still only hoping). I really don’t know whether I will receive the study materials or not. I expected to study, gain knowledge, Learn things and get a formal degree for my learning but all in vain now. How can I study and complete one year course in such a short time. I can’t even refer to other books or references. And I can get nothing out of it.
Now all these part is only of one small part (study material). Now I have no information regarding the assignments or practical exam (it is a subject with credits according to university) or I don’t have even hopes that they will send me my hall ticket. I am a totally dissatisfied customer with their service. I am now developing serious mental issues because of this attitude of theirs. I don’t want their so called service anymore. I lost my precious 7 months because of them if I had joined somewhere else.

I sincerely request you to help and support me in this context. I am not in Delhi to go in person and speak to them and get to know the status also, they can’t expect it either. I am helpless and need justice for all my happenings, my enrollment fee, my N number of STD calls and hundreds of mails. I can send snapshots of all the mails to you if you require. I have also sent a mail to them that I will be going to consumer complaints but they did not reply thereafter.

My wish of studying my master degree got spoilt. I atleast wish I can get my money back. Please do the needful.

100% Refund promised but not honored till date!!!

Enrolling through Edukart is a total waste of time. Just be careful. They promise everything under the sun however fail to deliver even 1%.
Two years ago, I enrolled for Exec. MBA (Venketeshwata Open Univ.). They changed my course to KSOU by themselves but till date could not arrange the online examination for me. Calling them on their support number or writing them is of no use as they will reply in a scripted way with no results or follow up. Finally, I demanded for a refund and one of their AVP (Praveen Kumar) agreed to REFUND my fee on Apr 7, 2015 however till date its pending despite 100's of follow ups. Seems my words are falling on deaf ears.

As per our discussion, this is to confirm that if University takes online assignments for final assessment for both your pending semesters, then you can answer the assignments in given time frame. If the online assignments are not taken by the University then EduKart will refund the fee paid for the course.
