REF: Order ID: 100018194 date: 16-3-14
SUB: Dejavu Trends - Product Not Delivered
I ordered one HP multifunction Printer Model MF1005 under the captioned Order ID with an online retail site www.dejavutrends.com on 16-Mar-2014. I made the full payment of Rs.9989/- using my credit card. I was told that the product will be delivered between 7-10 working days.
Since then I have been regularly following up the matter with the website by emails and helpline number 1800-3000-1177.
After repeated calls to the Helpline 1800-3000-1177 I have received only assurances and flimsy excuses for non-delivery of the product even after 40 days, which I enlist below:
1. There is a huge order backlog;
2. The logistics are in mess;
3. Assurance that it will be delivered within the weekend/ next week - for the last three
weekends - but without giving any reason for delay; and
4. The executives disconnect the phone when asked difficult and pointed questions.
For the last 4 days no one picks up the helpline number. On further investigation on the net, I find that M/s. Dejavu Solutions Ltd., with its office at 24, Apurva Estate, Makwana Lane, Andheri-Kurla Road, Andheri (East), Mumbai 400 059 is the owner of this online company and Dr. Kaustubh Chokshi is one of its Directors. The search also reveals some startling facts. Mr. Chokshi was arrested in October 2010 in some ponzi scheme. You can read this here:
http://pracha2004.blogspot.in/2010/10/recession-hit-techie-firm-dupes.html
and here:
http://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/mumbai/fraud-at-it-firm-7-held/article1-462905.aspx
Further, investigations show that there are innumerable cases such as mine…people who have paid and not received their products. You can confirm this here: http://www.complaintbox.in/?s=dejavu
From all this one thing that can be safely concluded is that the website and the people behind it are a big scam. What is even more surprising is that the website is still on, is still accepting orders and gullible people are still purchasing and making payments for the same. And, since it is an online company, where people from all over the country can buy, we don’t know how many of such buyers are getting into the trap on a daily basis of this so called online retailer.
Lets assume there are 100-150 customers who purchase daily on this website and with an average sale value of Rs.10000/-, then we come to a figure of atleast Rs. 1000000 to 1500000 daily or Rs. 3 crores to 5 crores easily in a month. This is just a rough estimate, it could surely be more.
That’s not all, this Dr. Kaustubh Chokshi’s company Dejavu Solutions Ltd., also appears in the list of “Companies on the Fastrack†in an article dated 14-Oct-2013. Read it here:
http://www.channelworld.in/fasttrack/deja-vu-solutions
Its surprising whether this publisher ever tried to check the person’s background. And this is not one, there are some more such articles where Mr. Chokshi has projected himself as a Cloud Computing Expert.
Thus, I appeal to http://icomplaints.in/ to please take this matter on an urgent war footing basis so that gullible people can be saved from such cheaters and before the scam becomes a huge one.
I reproduce below my communications with Deja Vu and Dr Kaustubh Chokshi.

I have ordered one HP multifunction Printer Model MF1005 undrr the captioned Order ID. I have not yet received the
delivery. Your order status only shows "Processing". Is it goig to remain that way for ages. Why are you making me wait for
so long when you have already received the payment? What is happening? Does it take so long to complete the order. Have
the courtsey to call me and tell me why is it taking so long. And I dont want to hear your flimsy reasons that there is a lot of
backlog and that it will be delivered by the weekend. Already 3 weekends have passed hearing that. Now deliver the
product.

Thanks for the reply but I wonder when I ordered the printer on 16-3-14, I was told delivery wouldbe effected within 5-10
days and at that point of time you were to supply from your stocks so where isthe question of placing high priority order. I
have been following up and your answer has beengive 5-6 days more. Today is 11th April, you have already taken nearly a
month, and there is nosign of delivery. And it is not that the product is in short supply, it is available not only in big
showroomsbut also with small vendors and definitely "not a priority order item"
I expect a definite date and that the product be delivered within next 4-5 days.
Thanks again

Dear Ms. Afza,
DEjavu Trends
You showed a lot of concern vide your mail reply dated 11th instant. However, your so called concerns have remained just
"concerns, fake assuances" I have been waiting for your "as soon as possible delivery and 15 more days have passed. What
now?
What is the next best flimsy excuse do you have? Please be warned that I cant wait any longer.
I give you one day to reply and by Monday I need the delivery of my product or the refund of my money. Failing this I
assure a stringrent action.
And mind you and your up-bosses, when I assure your action I will do it. My words are not empty as yours.

RE: Oder ID: 100018194 date: 16-3-14
It seems to me now that you are not even interested in replying to my queries, leave alone delivering the product. Even after
almost 40 days and after repeated reminders I have not been delivered the product.
I tried contacting your Helpline at 1800 3000-1177, but the service executive disconnected the phone abruptly when I asked
difficult questions.
I can't wait any longer and hence, I treat the order as "CANCELLED". Please REFUND the money as soon as possible.
Either you deliver the product by Monday or the refund of my money by Monday. Failing this I assure a stringent action.
And mind you and your up-bosses, when I assure your action I will do it. My words are not empty as yours.
Thank you,
Sharad Nagda
