Inappropriate information on Platform as well as Railway Station.
Confusion of having two different names & number given to single train.

Dear sir,
I was booked confirmed i-ticket month before for Manmad to H.Nizamuddin on 3rd Dec 2010. My PNR was 4535473851. (Enclosed I ticket for additional information) I reached Manmad Railway station an hour before train arriving time. On my i-ticket train No. is 7305 and train name is H.Nizammuddin Link Express. Unfortunately I could not board the train due to lack of information given at railway station. I am very disappointed for information given on railway station which is very discreet. Furthermore confusion of having two different train numbers and names given to single train. Below are the reasons why I could not board the train.
1) Digital displays at railway station are showing only 2779 train arriving time or status. All display showing only 2779 Vasco H.Nizzamuddin Express Status (Whereas Train 2779 and 7305 is same train). At least display should show “/” Sign (i.e. 7305/2779)
2) On my ticket, train number was 7305 and train name showing Nizzamuddin Link Exp. There was no indication about two different number and name for single train. At least printing of one single note on ticket (i.e. 7503/2779) could save me and I could board train. (Enclosed I ticket with this letter)
3) On each bogie display showing the Train no. is 2779 (Vasco Nizzamuddin) only. There was no evidence that this train is also having another no 7503. How passenger can identify that this train as 7503 (Nizzamuddin Link Express).
4) At enquiry desk no person was available to attend my query. This is the most disgusting thing I ever felt. (on 3rd December 2010 at Manmad Railway Station, during 10:00 am to 10:45, no person was available at enquiry desk)
5) There were no charts affixed on each bogie while it is mandatory to affix a chart of reserved passengers on reserved bogies.
6) No Announcement of Train No. 7503 was announced during that hour. How could passenger identify the train is arrived or departing.
7) There was no authorized person or T/T on Platform No.2 from railway, who can entertain my query. Helpdesk from Platform No. 2 is far away. One person cannot leave and return on Platform from helpdesk within 5 minutes before departure of the train.
8) On the display board there was two different reservation charts, one was showing reservation list of 7305 (Nizaumddin Link Exp) and another was showing reservation list of 2779 (Vasco Nizzamuddin). Due to different chart showing different train names I could not arrive on board. Thinking that train 7305 is yet to arrive.
9) While booking on internet both the trains showing different roots so one could not assume that Train No 7305 & 2779 is same. Last but not the least both trains showing different waiting list status, so one could not assume that both the trains will be same.
I was very disappointed with all above reasons I could not board the train. Later I cancelled this ticket by filing TDR as well as I cancelled all my connected train tickets and return ticket. I look forward to reply and resolution of such problems.
