Not Releasing Salary

I was hired by Ravish (Director) on 7th Dec 2013 as BDM for Indore region and the offer letter was sent through mail.
After working for a month, when I asked for my salary, I was terminated without any notice period.
As I was in probation I was told by Ravish that your salary will be give to you by Cheque after a month which is according to offer letter.
When I asked for my relieving letter he stopped answering my calls and on 2nd march he refused to recognize me.
I have all the recordings of phone calls in which he admitted that he will give me the salary by cheque.
Being a working professional I can not go to court and lodge an FIR and then wait for dates of hearing.
Kindly guide what I can do to get my pending salary back.
