Greetings. I have dreamt of a safe and cute home for my children and family within my limitations. I have giben full contract at Rs1350 per sqft and rs 1lakh for stairs as per the first agreement. Due to lack of quality of work we had a sitting with the presence of both the side lawyers and we came to a conclusion that to complete 595 Sqft and the partial staircase wok which was completed . The contractor demanded excess money than the estimated amount for the staircase and I paid him but I demanded the work to be of quality. The balance work was handed over to another contractor. When the new contractor assumed work and tried to strengthen the staircase work, The pillar supporting supporting the staircase , Rods were not not found to strengthen the pillar for length approx 1 mt. From the bottom the pillar had 4 -12mm rods but that didnt connect the lading slab which is supposed to stregthen the landing slab instead 2 = 8mm rods for a meter filled with cement and gravel. As the work was assigned to another contractor , I advised him to continue the work and I took photos before continuing the work which is enclosed for your refernce. In case of Natural hazards there are possibilities of damaging the staircase due to heavy rain or small jerk. This will endanger the lives of the inmates (My family). Plumbing work not to satisfaction . Plastering done without filtering the sand. wodden work not to satisfaction. If you could visit the premises you would be able to analyse further. Please do advise what I should do. Currently I am taking extra efforts and investement to strengthen the Building. if this is the quality of work for staircase then what can I expect the quality of work of the enitire building. The contractor claims himsef that he has been in this field for 16 years. The contractor is my neighbour and he is doing a work in the local area. Seeing that work assuming he will construct my work properly I gave him the contract. I have not updated what I found in the staircase to the contractor as I would like to take your advise.
Regards,
Nithyanand . M.K
