This is to bring to your kind notice that TATA Power are taking their customers for a ride. I am a resident of Vikhroli West, Mumbai and my consumer is is 2089314. I suspected that my meter was faulty, so I went to Tata power gallery situated in Powai and registered my complaint. I was told that I can get my meter checked by paying Rs. 500 which I duly paid. After two days, technicians from Tata Power came and took my old meter and replaced with a temporary meter. I was told by them that my meter will be tested in laboratory in my presence and full report would be sent to me. After passage of two months, I got curious and enquired from Tata power consumer care (1********61) about my case. To my utter shock and disbelief, the lady from consumer care told me that my meter has already been checked and its report is OK. When I told her that the meter was supposed to be checked in my presence, she rudely replied that she had no more information on this subject. When I requested her to give me contact details of some higher official, she bluntly told me that such information could not be provided. Sir, I am deeply pained by this attitude of Tata power and as a last resort, I am writing this letter to you with great hope. I request you to look into the matter and do the needful.
