On 20/03/2011, I ordered for Beverly Hills Polo Club Wrist Watch (Imperial wrist watch (M)) order no. 301873 priced at Rs. 1,733/- incl. shipping charges of Rs. 100/-. The wrist watch was meant to be gifted to my friend on 30/04/2011. Fashion and You mention in their email that "From the end of sale we take 3-4 weeks to deliver" and considering that I was sure that I would be receiving the watch before 30/04/2011.
I called F&U customer care and spoke to customer care executive Ms. Akanksha in first week of April to know the status of the order. At that time she told me that the order will be dispatched within next 72 hours. I waited for the said period and called again on 08/04/2011 and spoke to customer care executive Mr. Chitrans. Again I got the same reply that "the order will be dispatched within next 72 hours". I kept calling the customer care executives at following dates and every time I used to get the same reply:
- Shahil 12/04/2011
- Amit Bhatnagar 17/04/2011 he said that watch will be dispatched by 20th and I will receive by 25th
- Pavan 21/04 Said it will be dispatched by 25th
- Madhavi 25/04 Said it will be dispatched in 72 hrs
- Pavan
- Sheena
After this I didn't keep the track of the calls made.
I even spoke to their managers and they too gave the same reply. They say that the delay is because the quality of the product was not upto the F&U standard. I was wondering what quality parameters do F&U has which is higher than that of a company like Polo. And if the quality of the product was not upto the F&U standard then how come the same items of this company were available for sale 2-3 times in the period 20/03/2011 to 30/04/2011.
After waiting till 13th May I was forced to cancel the order and as per the cancellation mail "Your payment has already been reversed from our end to your credit card. The same will reflect in your credit card account in 3 business days". Till 20/05/2011 the amount was not reversed to my credit card account and when I called the customer care and spoke to customer care executive Mr. Sushil and he said that the amount will be reversed by 23/05/2011.On 23rd I spoke to Ms. Sheena and she again gave me standard reply "the amount will be reversed within next 72 hours." I don't know when my money will be credited back, but you all beware of F&U.
Hence if you are dealing with F&U then keep the following points in mind:
- do not expect the product to reach you on time
- refund not happening on time
- customer care won't connect you to higher ups
- higher ups and executive have a standard replies "the order will be dispatched within next 72 hours"
- customer care put all the blame to dispatch department and finance dept. and they do not have control on that.
