I was travelling from Mathura to Chennai by Grand Trunk Express express on 15oct 2013.details are pnr 2********9 train no 12616 coach no A/C 2 tier 12.30 am in the night myself n my wife woke up because we could no longer bear the burning and itching caused by innumerable bed bugs on our seats. when we informed attendant and TC they said this complaint has come several times that the entire coach is full and they can not help us in this. We have requested for shifting to some other coach, but they have informed that no berths are vacant and hence can not do the same. With in short period , most of the passengers started complaining also.
we have not slept for whole of the two nights and even during the day time, the bed bugs we could see on the bed sheets, which made impossible for us to keep any bed sheets in the Air conditioner compartments.
The next one Toilets which are in very bad conditions and the water is also not coming properly. The attenders are sitting at some coach and to trace them and make complaint is like making complaint to a dead wall.
We would like to bring to your kind notice that during the entire journey, no body came even to clean the coach. How this is possible that we are traveling in 2 A/C by spending such huge amount and in turn what we get is extremely poorly maintain coaches.
It is shameful n shocking that after paying a decent fare one has to suffer so much.shame on the department which takes care of these basic facilities.all We want is a complete refund of my train fare as after paying for 2 A/C we had to suffer for two nights and one full day . If no response is given within 72 hrs we will take up this matter with consumer court.
