My stepson recently travelled on a flight from Bangkok to London via Mumbai. He is a dual national carrying passports in Thai and UK. His UK passport had expired but his thai passport was still in date so he was allowed to travel. However he was stopped in Mumbai and eventually sent back to Bangkok because (we assume ) his UK passport had expired. This happened on the 6th july, since the 9th july i have been sending e-mails (25 so far) asking for an explanation and as yet all i can get is ' travel document not satisfactory'? this was from AirIndia's manager at Bangkok. Despite numerous emails and a letter no reply has been forthcoming from the AIR INDIA HEAD OFFICE Complaints department??! I want to know why his travell document was not satisfactory as UK nationals CAN enter the UK on an expired UK passport and he had a valid Thai passport for travel purposes. But AIR INDIA refuse to answer me.... i feel i have no other alternative but to get a lawyer involved any other suggestions would be extremely helpful.
