On 01 Aug 2015 i got petrol filled in my car for Rs 2500 from IOC petrol pump ( New Milan Petroleum at Khatraj Chokadi TA. Kalol Dist. Gandhinagar). Subsequent to filling of petrol my car stopped after just a Km drive from the petrol pump. I called a mechanic from Manan Autolink Pvt. Ltd. and he aslo could not start the vehicle and had to tow it to the service center. On detailed inspection it was found that there was lot of water in the petrol due to which engine was not starting. The service center had to drain the entire fuel and also do a thorough cleaning of the fuel system along with the change of fuel filter. This costed me Rs 1548 (1040 for repair and 500 for petrol,copy of bill attached).

Subsequently I took the vehicle along with the mechanic to the petrol pump manager and showed him the drained fuel sample which showed around 200ml of water in a liter of petrol. To my surprise the manager told it is normal and there is no fault of his. He also refused to pay me an amount of Rs1500 which i spend on repair in spite of me showing him the bill and mechanic also certifying that the adulteration of petrol was the cause of engine seizure. Also the complaint register was not given to me for writing the complaint.

In view of the above it is requested that the license of this particular IOC dealer be cancelled (R.S.L. No.G/487/2004) and also he may be directed to pay me the expenses incurred on the repair.
