I have booked my sons Bicycle( Kids ) for transportation from Bilaspur to Sagar ( 510 KM), An amount of Rs.62/- was collected for Freight charges and was paid.

When i reached Sagar Parcel office to release the Bicycle i was asked to pay an amount of Rs.720/- towards demurrage.

Explanation for demurrage:

Bicycle arrived on 11th nght and penalty @ of rs.10/- per every hous WEF 12 Noon on 12th october till 15/10/2010 , 10 Am.

An amount of rs.62/- was the actual charges and penalty for late collection is Rs.720/- is higly objectionalbe.

it is common sense to know it will take 4 -5 days to reach the booking receipt form bilaspur to Sagar ( through Courier)

An amount of rs.720/- penalty for a second used Bicycle is very difficult to digest.

If it is bicyle You may charge that musch penalty. Bur for a bycle it is too much.

Please relook to the penalty structure for satisfying public.
