I am a Senior citizen & totally indisposed due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. All works are being done through some representitative. Some Three Years back , some sales Representative approached me at my Residence and opened a Demat A/c. No. 13852046, DP ID IN300450 along with one Savings A/c No. 00********0077525 , linked with IDBI Bank, Dumdum Branch.(Branch Code: 000092), 39/1 A, Near Gora Bazar, Post Office Road, Dum Dum, Kolkata – 700028. At the time of opening these A/cs. , he told me that he would come all the details for operation of Demat A/c . But after opening the A/cs. he simply vanished & never turned up again. At that time I was not even aware of the details of Demat A/c. No & DP ID No etc.
However , after one year or so, I started receiving mails. There from, I came to know the details of Demat A/c. Thereafter, I wrote to your Dum Dum Branch to close both the A/cs. on 10th June 2013. They promptly responded & send one Closure Form for filling , which I promptly did & sent along with Debit Card ( duly cut into pieces, before return ). They in turn arrange for closure of my Savings A/c. Then I thought everything is closed & set at rest . But later when I am still in receipt of mail in connection with my Demat A/c , then I contacted with the Bank Branch , only to know that Demat A/c. is not closed , because they failed to locate the duly filled closure form , though Application for closure of Demat A/c. is sent on 10th of June 2013, along with closure of S/B a/c No. 00********077525, simultaneously, through Speed Post ( which also showed Delivery confirmation through Net Service ).

They , however volunteered to send some representative to collect another filled up form from me. They set one time i.e. at 4 P.M on 17th January 2014. But they did neither turn up nor show any courtesy to inform me about their inability to arrive . Now, they are demanding some Rs. 6000/-& odds . When inquired what for the charge is , particularly as no service on this count is made available to me till date ,they said it was for mere existence of the Demat A/c. only, irrespective of any service, available to me or not . When further inquired about the deficiency of service on part of your representative , who initially opened the A/C, without providing any guide lines for continuation of Demat A/c function, in a mischievous manner , however , he could not provide any satisfactory reply.

Now, my request to you to consider the untold harassments , I am so long subjected to in view of disservices / deficiency in services , by Bank Representatives & waive this charges, for which I am not at all responsible & oblige.

Complainant's Goal: To waive defunct Demat A/c Charges, at the time of closure.

Overalll service is seriously wanting. At one time, I had to mail the MD and the MD's name and contact is not there in the bank site.
