I, Firdose Lala, residing in India – Mumbai purchased Blackberry 9780 model in November 2011 from Planet M stores at Santa Cruz East.
In July 2012, I started having a problem with the “P†alphabet where in if I pressed “p†any sms or message would just be sent.
Next day the problem escalated where the mails etc. would automatically open and be deleted or sent etc.
The cell was immediately switched off and sent to Redington - Khar service centre thru an associate – the complaint lodged likewise.
Some ten days down the line my cell is returned to me with a broken and totally non functional screen and I am told the warranty is over.
PLS NOTE THAT NOT A SINGLE SCRATCH WAS THERE ON THE SCREEN – MATTER OF FACT EVEN THE INITIAL SCREEN GUARD WHICH COMES WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE CELL WAS NOT REMOVED TILL DATE- HOW THEN WAS THE SCREEN BROKEN AND SCRATCHED???
ARGUMENTATIVELY AND VERY LOGICALLY – IF AT ALL THE SCREEN AND ETC. WAS DAMAGED DURING THE HANDOVER TO THE SERVICE CENTER, WHY THE SAME WAS NOT RECORDED IN THE SERVICE REPORT / RECEIPT PROVIDED TO ME ????
WHY MATTER OF FACT WAS THE CELL ACCEPTED?? IT IS VERY CLEAR AND I THINK ALL EXECUTIVES WOULD KNOW THAT THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT SUCH A CELL PHONE UNDER WARRANTY…..
This is plain cheating at the highest level.
Post all this I have personally visited the store and the store manager Mr. Mangesh has written a mail to this effect to one of your offices in Bangalore or Chennai but no revert from there…
Is this the service level and trust level an international brand of such high standing should be having ???
I request some strong intervention from someone senior and I want a clear solution – which in this case would definitely be a new cell of the same model.
I write this and expect an revert atleast and an inquiry into this.
Please note here that I have been using a BB since the past three years and my earlier cell was also a 9780 model.
ITS NEARLY TWO MONTHS AND NO PROGRESS AS YET........
