Complaint by: rgsverma on November 4, 2012, 5:05 pm in Consumer Electronics

This is to lodge my complaint of new Whirlpool 360 degree Bloom Wash
machine, model no. 12634 purchased on August 16, 2012, vide Serial
Number INB 12912372, from Bharat Vyavsaya (P) Ltd, Sadar Bazar, Agra
Cantt, Agra for Rs. 26,000 under Bill no.0104, dated 16/08/2012.

The machine worked well for more than one month when it suddenly
developed a snag. While spin wash process, the machine discharges all
the water randomly, comes to a halt and the digital display unit shows
SS 1 with regular intermittent beeps, till we switched off the power.
This way the machine is unable to spin the clothes and the process of
washing remain incomplete. The snag has regularly cropping up and we
are unable to wash our clothes.

We complain the matter to the Customer Care on October 23, 2012 and
allotted SR No. GB1012007334. One Avdhesh Sharma, technician attended
the call on October 24, 2012. He could not understand the cause of the
snag and said he will return tomorrow again with some solution. On the
contrary, the mobile number got a message that your complaint has been
closed (without rectifying the fault). When protest was lodged on the
Customer Care number, they again lodged a complaint with SR No.GB
1012008144 on 25th of October 2012 and again the same person, i.e.
Avdhesh Varma was allotted the job.

Next day the designated person came alongwith some other person and
after examining again failed to rectify the snag. He said that some
part ‘slot sensor’ is required to be replaced which is not available
due to new launch of this machine and they have ordered it. He
regretted that the company has launched new machine but no part has
been sent along the supply. He further claimed his inability to
rectify the machine till the part reaches him, and it may take
anything from three to 15 days.

Moreover, one of the four locks of the lid of the Variator of Wash
System has also broken. Since the part is not used for human touch, it
is possible that the lock is broken by the fast flow of water and the
plastic could not withstand the pressure, resulting the plastic part
to breakup. Your technician also did not have the extra lid of the
Variator so as was expected to him, he promised to replace it when
supply comes.
We are repeatedly calling customer care personal and the technician
who handled the complaint but they do not have any clue when the
supply will come and they will be able to rectify the snag. We are
very disappointed with the service of the company and hope the Company
higher-ups will do something to give us quick relief. An
acknowledgement and a reply to our complaint will help to keep our
faith in the company.
