Vodafone Mumbai - VodaFone Cheating Customers By giving False details

I called up VodaFone Call Centre to get my Data package activated of Rs. 199 in which 1.5GB free usage is allowed. They told me to send a SMS message & in 4 hours the Data Package will be activated. To my surprise, after I recd. the my bill the month after, I was surprized to see a Bill of Rs. 3537.60 for a 354MB usage instead of Rs. 199. I called up the call centre again & they said that as mine is a corporate Account, I need to send the request of Data Package thru letterhead or e-mail. Then I told then that when I called up the Call centre they knew I was a corporate Account holder, then why did they give me wrong info of sending a SMS message. They said it was their call centres mistake. So I said that why should I pay for your mistake. They said you did not get the confirmation SMS that your data plan is activated. I told I did not even get a rejection SMS that your data plan is rejected. They told we only send a confirmation SMS message. I fail to understand, why can't they send a Rejection SMS message & even the call centre did not tell that you will get a confirmation message that the data plan is activated. For mistakes of VodaFone, why should I pay? Is Vodafone doing this to get undue advantage from its customers? Why are they cheating the customers?
