I have an Acer Aspire laptop with S/N – NXM83SI00632801BE97600 bought in Oct’13. Its LCD had a pixel issue and was damaged for which I had lodged a complaint with Acer Customer Care ( Complaint No. 6523681 ) on 3rd March’14 – 17 days since lodging the complaint! (complaint receipt attached; Engineer David) This was attended by your service center at Vashi, Navi Mumbai – GD Systems & Services. I had paid an amount of Rs. 3500 to get the screen replaced on 5th March’14 – 15 days since making the payment! (receipt attached; payment made to Ms Suvarna in cash Ph: +********1605)
Today, more than 2 weeks have passed and your company has been unable to replace the part. I have been asking them the exact date on which I will get my laptop repaired and working; which also they have not been able to tell me yet, even when I called them today morning (@ 11:30 a.m) they said I will know the exact date when the part will be delivered in an hour.(Ms. Suvarna, Ph: +********1605 who had told me when I had made the payment that the screen part will be delivered & the laptop will be repaired in 7 days i. e 12th March’14 – this timeline is 8 days overdue!).
Needless to say Acer after sales service has been pathetic even when the product is under guarantee; I shudder to think how will Acer treat customers whose products are out of guarantee. I had heard before that Acer customer services are non-existent and I had been warned not to buy Acer products, now I know why.
How long does it take to get a screen dispatched? Surely you are not ordering it from some 3rd world country without transportation facilities. I have doubts if you have you even ordered the part????? Why can’t you follow up with the supplier???? I am always told you will ask and revert back, but I NEVER get any calls back. Are you aware how much hardship a consumer suffers??? My laptop might not start if its kept non-working like this for months!!! And if that happens I am going to take your company to the courts to get a replacement, understand that very well. And if you find yourself incompetent/inefficient/incapable to give service delivery DO NOT PROVIDE GUARANTEE ON YOUR PRODUCTS! since no service center repairs/touches products under guarantee, even Reliance digital center from where I had purchased the laptop and of which I have extended guarantee said it cannot repair it since it is under guarantee! But guarantee without any services and only inability to get repair services elsewhere!
I have suffered a great deal of inconvenience because of you people and I will not let this pass. Would NEVER recommend anyone to buy Acer products on account of non-responsive customer care executives, delaying/non-commitment of an exact date of delivery of service, no care for the customer’s grievance. Will take this to the highest forum if you don’t give me an immediate response/ tell me whether or not you can get this solved????
