I've been having Tata Indigo GLX model since Feb 2006. However couple years back, the dashboard has become very sticky and greasy.
No matter how much cleaning by the Tata Service centers, it doesnt resolve the issue. The usual reply I get from that its the '2006 waxy-dashboard' model and its like that. I hear that Tata motors changed the dashboard from next year models. I even tried a professional detailing [ Cost Rs 3500], but even they couldnt resolve the issue.
The grease is now getting worst and collecting all dirt materials, if I keep windows open. Now the problem is so worse, that I need to advice the passenger not to touch the dashboard and keep their clothes safe.
I'm pretty frustrated with the quality of Tata, that I dissuade people going for Tata vehicles. I hope you resolve my issue at the earliest

Post complaint, Tata motors was prompt in contacting me and directing my complaint to Chennai service station. However the Customer Relation manager in the Service station ( Concorde motors, ECR) contacted to me to say that its again manufacturing quality of 2006 models and that at best he can offer a free 3m cleaning service and nothing more, which I denied. [Note: In one of my earlier service, I even checked the 3m folks if they can do anything on this, but even they couldnt help. SO I didnt see any point in getting this when you know its not going to resolve the issue].
So to summarize, I'm the same unfortunate and unhappy customer of Tata motors and this complaint and so called redressal didnt help.

Well I'm stuck with this 2006 model of TATA INDIGO GLX, The problem I have with this is an accelerator pedal, it the weakest from the other two pedals, Everytime I want to accelerate it swerve to the side and not pyulling the cable so that the car can move faster, I tried to pull it up, but let me tell you the entire pedal just swerves. it frustrated the hell out oif me, that I now going to spend money fixing this manufacturing quality.
I tried selling my car but because of this quality issue no one seem interested to buy. My money is gone,
Trully TATA can do better than this, My family are completely unable to drive this car because it just does not move the pedal flop without pulling the cable, currently my car is not moving still raising funds to correct what TATA fail to put a correct steel for it.
2nd the rubbers that are ligning the front doors both passenger and driver does not prevent water to enter the car when its raining, my car floods when there is heavy rain, it is so embarrassing...
TATA needs to stop taking for a ride for such poor quality, I wonder of how did this car pass at SABS, BECAUSE REALLY ...

I also bought Tata Indigo car from Concord Motors in 2005, Khairatabad, Hyderabad. I like this car from a performance view point. However, my car dashboard has become so greezy and I now hate to get into the car. I used all means to clean the greasy plastic dashboard but of no use. Tejaswi motors says that they can not help, as it was a manf defect. I personally do not recommend anyone to buy Tata cars.
I too face this problem with my Indica V2 Lxi petrol. TASC guyz refused to help
I support this complaint. I also own a Tata Indigo LX Dicor which I purchased in Dec 2007. I am also facing the same problem, which I have reported repeatedly to Tata Motors without any success.

It's the same challenge that I face with my Indigo Dicor. Greasy dashboard. It's so embarassing and every time an agony to get into my car
The hard to believe fact is that there is no solution for this challenge available in the open market and neither with the TATAs.
I hope the TATAs hear this out and do something on the lines of other global automobile manufacturers.
