Hello Sir,

This is Mr. Purna Borah from Sibsagar, Assam. I have purchased a Hyundai i20 Magna car on 3rd Jan, 2011. Recently I am consistently getting a problem regarding my steering lock. Till date I have faced many times this problem and its giving me strange query about the manufacture of the parts of Hyundai cars in India. My problem is - my steering key comes out halfway before I switch it off completely while I stop the car or whether its on park. And then the car stereo power stays 'ON' but ut of the ignition mode. When I put the key again then it doesn't move at all ( back/forward). Without any prior idea, after consistent try, instantly it works. One day when I was getting ready to take my mother to hospital for her illness this problem aroused and I had really bad time to get it fixed. Even today, before writing this complaint to Hyundai I faced the same and it really gave me irritating situation infront of people arising many questions of Hyundai manufacture/ Is this the quality of your esteem company? I bought this car after so many speculations last year and at the end of the day I am really frustrated by this ridiculous matter. Is this the quality of your parts? Now the question is- if I go to the dealer, will they they fix it or replace the lock? Will they charge money for it? Why should I pay any money for this problem. I never see any logical reason to pay for such problem of such a big car maker in the world! I am planning to to dealer next week to show the problem. I hope with great regards for oyu that my problem will be resolved with a customer satisfactory level. That's my description. My car's dealer name address is mentioned herewith. BORAH HYUNDAI, P.O. BETBARI ALIMUR, N.H.-37. PIN- 785640.

Regards,
Mr. Purna Borah,
Sivasagar,

my 2010 hyundai i20 magna petrol is facing the same problem. the ignition lock is broken and the key is stuck at stereo. I don't know why haven't they accept that its a manufacturing fault.
the OEM part costs Rs. 10000.
I'm really dissapointed
