I had a ticket booked with Spicejet (PNR - XEC7AL) on 17th Aug'12 from Mumbai to Delhi ( flight No SG118)
I had made the booking on 24th May , well in Advance to avoid high prices.
On 14th Aug I received an email from SpiceJet stating that the flight has been cancelled owing to some Operational Reasons.
I contacted SpiceJet but they did not have other flights to accomodate me, neither did they provide me a booking on any other flight.
I had to cancel my ticket and then rebook on a different airline (all by myself) which cost me much because it was booked at the last moments.
I want some compensation from Spice Jet as it has caused me mental hassles. tensions, money and also my schedule has been affected.
Because this cancellation was from their side they should have provided my adequate arrangements on some other flight (not merely a refund of ticket amount).
