G Govindan Potti - samsung 46 inch lcd problem with t con board

I had purchased samsung 46 inch lcd tv in 2009. last month all of a sudden the tv developed problems with the image and started showing images which looked like 'coloured photo negatives' The samsung service rep. from mangalore visited my home, checked the tv and said it was a problem with a T Con board. He then proceeded to check with a T Con Board of his own, but then there was no image at all. He finally said that th T con board he had got with him was faulty, and he would come back with a different T Con board to check my TV again. However to my surprise after a few days he called up and said that the panel would have to be replaced as it was a 'panel fault' !!! Cost of the replacement is 28500/- !!! i find it absurd that he could attribute the defect without checking with a T Con board.Moreover, the warranty on the replacement is only 1 month. i am disappointed that samsung does not really care for their customer. I request that the issue is taken up and T Con board replaced and TV rectified without any further delay. It is unreasonable that the tv panel (which is not defective) has to be replaced because samsung does not have T Con boards as replacements. The same are available abroad at jimmys etc. Why is samsung hell bent upon replacing the panel and charging absurd amounts for it?

It has been now more than 2 months after contacting the Samsung Team. A month back the local service center has contacted and assured that the needful would be done. However, nothing has been done till date. This is highly disappointing, and Mr. Jitendra Singh of Samsung In should diretcly look into the matter and sort it out. If it was something regarding somebody wanting to purchase a TV, would this have taken so long ? Maybe raising this issue in the local and national newspapers is the only solution. I wish that that is not the case. Mr. Jitendra and Samsung In kindly look into the matter and respond.

despite the assurances, no ne has contacted me or tried to resolve the issue. it appears that samsung is really not consumer friendly and is interested only till the moment the sale is completed. Neither Mr. Jitendra Singh nor Samsung In has bothered to address the issue.

Kindly do resolve the issue, replacing panel at that cost and 1 month warranty (!!!!) is beyond doubt absurd.
