REPLY FROM AIRTEL: QUOTE "In regards to International SMS charges levied on the airtel mobile number ********83, I noticed that the 7 SMS has been sent from your number on 08/03/2015 to 0044********94. As discussed, I would like to apprise you that the SMS has been triggered to 0044********94, which is the Apple server based in UK from an iPhone for authentication of iMessage and Face Time.Hence, you have been charged accordingly of Rs. 35/- for Rs. 5/- each. Therefore, the charges are found to be valid." UNQUOTE. Sir, my question is 1. What Authentication were these? 2. Are such Authentication chargeable by Airtel? 3. How do I avoid these kind of charges in future since Airtel haven't alerted us about any charge? 4. Finally, does the Handset alerts about such charges? Please advise. Thanks. My last two month bill has been charged around 600 to 700 Rs due to iphone sending automatic sms to 0044********94. This is a big fraud done by the telephone operator, where without the consent from user this has been done.
Please look in to the matter.
